Whitney Houston and Dana Bash

Whitney Elizabeth Houston, born 9 August 1963 to a musically inclined family in Newark New Jersey is the daughter of the gospel singers Cissy Houston as well as John Russell Houston Jr. She's also the cousin of singer Dionne Warwick. In Newark, Whitney began singing with the choir of the church when she was a young child. When she was 15 years old, she joined her mom in the background vocals for Chaka's hit Im Every Woman from 1978. In 1981, she briefly was a model and appeared on the Seventeen Cover. It came with The Bodyguard of 1992 that made her one of the top-selling musicians in recent history. The film, and her performance as a character was not appreciated, but the soundtrack and her rendition of Dolly Parton's I Will Always Love You charted for several months at the top of the charts. In all, she sold nearly 44 million singles and albums worldwide. In the same year, she got married to former New Edition star Bobby Brown with whom she had her only child their daughter Bobbi Kristina Brown. She was born in the month of March 1993.
