Jillian Noel Shennessy born 25th November, 1968 in Canada, is a Canadian actor and singer that was recognized for her significant contributions in American television. The actress has made famous due to her portrayals in the roles of Claire Kincaid in Law & Order and Crossing Jordan. Hennessy was also able to showcase her talent in movies like RoboCop 3 Most Wanted, Chutney Popcorn, and The Acting Class. She also produced and wrote these movies. The acting career of Hennessy began in 1988, when she and her twin sister were the callgirls in Dead Ringers. She briefly appeared in Buddy the Musical - The Buddy Holly Story on Broadway in the year 1990. In 1993, the actress stepped out of the world of musicals and into the genre of sci-fi as the character Dr. Marie Lazarus. Her big break occurred later that year when she was a part of the cast of the hit NBC crime drama Law & Order as assistant district attorney Claire Kincaid. Her performance captivated viewers in the role for three seasons until her departure in 1996. Parker has been in many films and shows, including RED Fried Green Tomatoes Boys from the Side West Wing Angels and Angels in America. In these roles, she won an Emmy Award in 2006 and a Golden Globe Award in 2006 and an Emmy Award in 2007. Parker has also been awarded the Tony Award for Best Actress 2001 for her performance in the Broadway show Proof.
